HOW WE TREAT RUNNERS
Your evaluation includes a review of your training log, a strength and mobility assessment of the hips, knees, ankles and feet, and a look at how you run. Treatment uses soft tissue therapy, chiropractic care and functional rehabilitation, with shockwave therapy for chronic tendon and plantar heel pain. Most runners keep running at a modified volume while they recover.RUNNING INJURY FAQ
Do I have to stop running completely?
Rarely. We usually reduce volume or intensity to a level the tissue tolerates and rebuild from there. Complete rest can leave you weaker when you return.Do you look at my running form?
Yes. Cadence, stride and landing pattern are part of the assessment when they are relevant to your injury. Can strength training prevent running injuries?
Strength work for the hips, calves and core is one of the best-supported ways to reduce running injury risk, and it is part of nearly every plan we build. How soon can I race again?
That depends on the injury and your training base. We set milestones together and progress based on how your body responds.RELATED PAGES
