BASEBALL INJURY REHABILITATION
Staten Island Throwing Athlete CarePitching and hitting place enormous repetitive demands on the shoulder, elbow, hips and spine. Most baseball injuries build gradually from throwing volume, mechanics and strength deficits rather than from a single event. At SICSR we assess the full kinetic chain, from ankle and hip mobility through the core to the shoulder and elbow, and build a plan that reduces pain, restores capacity and keeps you throwing.BASEBALL INJURIES WE TREAT
Rotator cuff and shoulder impingement in pitchers and position playersMedial elbow (UCL-area) irritation and flexor-pronator strainsShoulder stiffness and loss of internal rotation (GIRD)Hip and oblique strains from hittingLow back pain in catchers and hittersHamstring strains from base running
HOW WE TREAT THROWING ATHLETES
Treatment combines soft tissue and manual therapy for the shoulder, forearm and hip, chiropractic care for thoracic and hip mobility, and functional rehabilitation that builds rotator cuff, scapular and core strength. Shockwave and Class IV laser therapy are options for stubborn tendon pain. We progress you through a structured throwing return.BASEBALL INJURY FAQ
Should I stop throwing if my arm hurts?
Arm pain that changes your mechanics or velocity should be evaluated rather than thrown through. Early assessment often means a shorter time away from the mound.Do you treat youth pitchers?
Yes. Growth-plate injuries are a concern in young throwers, so we screen carefully and emphasize load management and arm care. Can you help with my throwing program?
We build return-to-throwing progressions and coordinate with your coaches when helpful. What about elbow pain?
Many cases of medial elbow pain respond to conservative care. Signs of a significant ligament injury are referred for imaging and orthopedic evaluation.RELATED PAGES
